Steak with Garlic Cream Sauce – A Flavor-Packed Indulgence

This dish features perfectly seared steaks smothered in a rich, garlicky cream sauce. A luxurious yet simple recipe that’s perfect for a special dinner.


Ingredients:

  • For the Steaks:
  • 4 ribeye or sirloin steaks
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper (to taste)
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • For the Garlic Cream Sauce:
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 tsp Dijon mustard
  • 1/2 tsp Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper (to taste)

Instructions:

  1. Cook the Steaks:
  2. Season both sides of the steaks generously with salt and pepper.
  3. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add olive oil.
  4. Sear the steaks for about 3–5 minutes per side, depending on their thickness and your preferred doneness.
  5. Add butter to the skillet and baste the steaks by tilting the pan and spooning the melted butter over them for extra richness.
  6. Remove the steaks from the skillet and let them rest while you prepare the sauce.
  7. Make the Garlic Cream Sauce:
  8. In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium and add the minced garlic. Sauté for about 30 seconds, until fragrant.
  9. Stir in heavy cream, Parmesan cheese, Dijon mustard, and Italian seasoning.
  10. Let the sauce simmer for 3–4 minutes, stirring occasionally, until it thickens.
  11. Taste and adjust with more salt and pepper if needed.
  12. Combine & Serve:
  13. Return the steaks to the skillet, spooning the creamy garlic sauce over them.
  14. Let them simmer for 1–2 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld together.
  15. Plate the steaks with a generous amount of sauce.
  16. Pair With:
  • Creamy mashed potatoes
  • Roasted vegetables
  • A fresh side salad
