For the Tacos:
โช๏ธ8 small flour or corn tortillas โช๏ธยฝ cup red cabbage, shredded โช๏ธยฝ cup fresh cilantro, chopped โช๏ธยผ cup diced red onion โช๏ธยฝ cup crumbled cotija or feta cheese โช๏ธ1 avocado, sliced โช๏ธLime wedges, for serving For the Garlic-Lime Sauce: โช๏ธยฝ cup sour cream or Greek yogurt โช๏ธ1 tbsp mayonnaise โช๏ธ1 tbsp lime juice โช๏ธ1 clove garlic, minced โช๏ธยฝ tsp honey โช๏ธยฝ tsp salt ๐
Instructions:
Step 1: Marinate & Cook the Steak In a mixing bowl, combine olive oil, lime juice, chili powder, garlic powder, cumin, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper. Coat the steak with the marinade and allow it to rest for a minimum of 15 minutes (or overnight for enhanced flavor). Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat and cook the steak for 3-4 minutes on each side (medium-rare) or until it reaches your desired doneness. Let the steak rest for 5 minutes before slicing it thinly against the grain.
Step 2: Cook the Shrimp In a separate bowl, mix the shrimp with olive oil, garlic powder, paprika, chili powder, salt, and lime juice. Cook the shrimp in a hot skillet or on the grill for 1-2 minutes per side, until they turn pink and opaque.
Step 3: Make the Sauce Combine sour cream, mayonnaise, lime juice, minced garlic, honey, and salt in a bowl, whisking until the mixture is smooth.
Step 4: Build the Tacos Heat tortillas on a dry skillet or grill. On each tortilla, add layers of sliced steak, shrimp, red cabbage, cilantro, red onion, cotija cheese, and avocado slices.
